Jersey All Pro Wrestling 4/23 Rahway, NJ results Posted by Bob Magee (Courtesy: PWBTS.com...with TNA Lockdown results tonight)
Jersey All Pro Wrestling 4/23 Rahway, NJ resultsJersey All Pro Wrestling returned to the Rahway Rec Center last night.
The crowd was down noticably from previous months, owing in large part to it being the first night of Passover (no small thing in the New York area) and a competing independent show literally down the street in Carteret, NJ.
Mini World Wide TV Taping
This was a taping for the online show aired on the JAPW website, beginning Saturday's at 10:00 am EDT.
Jay Lethal defeated Ash Samuels
Beef Wellington defeated Danny Demanto
In a non-title match, JAPW Light Heavyweight Champion Azrieal defeated Eric Cooper
In a non-title match, JAPW Tag Team Champs Teddy Hart and Jack Evans defeated Dan Barry and Plazma
JAPW After Shock Results
Dixie (with Insane Dragon) defeated Nino Capone
EC Negro over Trent Acid.
Lots of stalling in this one. Post-match, Acid did his typical "I'm not coming back to (fill in name of town)" speech after getting the reaction he worked so hard to get. There was some sort of incident as Acid went around ringside, with a girl refusing to play along with his normal pre-match routine of playing up to the ladies, then having her boyfriend get legit pissed. One JAPW security guard stated to me that Acid had said/done something back to the woman, setting off the reaction.
In the match of the night, Super Dragon defeated Quicksilver.
These two PWG stars stole the show, with Dragon defeating Quicksilver after Quicksilver won the Jack Evans "sell until you're dead Award" by getting nailed, in succession, with a German Suplex, a Dragon Suplex, and a Psycho Driver. Oh...and the curb stomp is one of the sicker looking things around.
In an excellent match, JAPW Light Heavyweight Champion Azrieal defeated IWS's Excess 69.
In a hilarious pre-match segment, Excess told the crowd that he wanted them to understand him so he would speak s--l--o--w--l--y. Excess proceeded to cut his a promo in French.
In the painful move of the night, Excess took up Azrieal in a Stretch Muffler, then swung him around in a giant swing. Owwwwitch....
JAPW Tag Team Champs Teddy Hart and Jack Evans defeated Kevin Steen and Beef Wellington.
Evans, as usual, was doing spots that humans aren't meant to do, including taking a spot from Kevin Steen that had him looking like an car accident victim. There was great crowd reaction...as always seems to be the case, wherever Hart works (and that isn't many places these days) the trained seals in the crowd popped, with Hart into his usual antics of kissing up to the segment of the crowd going nuts for him (and ragging on the fans who weren't).
Post-match, Steen nailed Wellington with a package piledriver, with Hart and Evans making the save
Low Ki defeated El Generico
This was built around Low-Ki stealing El Generico's mask at the last show. El Generico got in early offense, then Low-Ki largely took over with chop after chop, stomp after stomp. Generico is so over, it's scary.
Jay Lethal defeated B-Boy
This seemed inexplicably booked as the main event, given the crowd reactions for the two preceding matches, and how much the Low-Ki/El Generico pairing had been pushed by the promotion. Tough to position B-Boy as a heel (with the Strong Style Thugs)
JAPW returns to Rahway, NJ on June 4, with Matt Hardy making an appearance. Click
