Match #1: Intercontinental Championship Match
Lance Storm vs. Edge
Lance Storm came out first and asked for complete attention so he could explain something to the audience. He was interrupted by Edge’s music and he made his way to the ring. Edge came in and got the quick aggressive advance and took Storm out of the ring with a dropkick. He then followed him out, slammed his head into the steps and then got him back in the ring.
Edge got another huge kick and nearly got a 3-count. Storm countered his next attempt and picked him up and then slammed him across the top rope. Edge stepped off the ring apron to the outside and Storm followed him out and rolled him back into the ring. While Edge was down, Storm got in his face and talked shit and then got a cheap shot in and went for another count. Storm went for another advance and Edge turned it around and rolled him up for a 2-count.
Storm got up and got the advantage again and got Edge on his back. He took cheap kicks to add insult to injury. Edge got up and went right back on the attack and rolled Storm up again for a 2-count. Storm got Edge in the corner and edge fought his way out. Edge went for a crucifix and got caught and Storm dropped him hard to the mat. While Edge was down, Storm nailed him in the small of the back with knee shots and then applied the camel clutch.
Storm continued to apply a beat down on the challenger. Storm picked up Edge and choked him with the middle rope until the referee forced him to break the hold. Storm grabbed Edge and locked him in the abdominal stretch. Storm went upstairs and went at Edge, but he countered and turned it into a power slam and both men were down and out.
They both got up and the pace of the match picked right up. Edge nailed Storm with numerous clotheslines and then another big power slam. He went for the pin and got a 2. Edge then nailed Storm with a power bomb and again nearly got a 3. Edge picked up Storm and went for an Irish whip, but it was countered and Storm locked Edge in a half Boston Crab. Edge finally made it to the ropes and turned the move around on Storm.
Christian then ran down and got in the ring. Storm stepped up and Christian went for the spear. Storm moved out of the way and pushed him into Edge. He knocked out Edge with the move and Storm then superkicked Christian and went for the pin on Edge. He nearly got the victory, but Edge somehow kicked out and got the upperhand once again quickly and finished off Storm with a Downward Spiral.
Winner: Edge (WWF)
Michael Cole interviewed Test and the Dudley Boyz and asked Test why he left the WWF to join the Alliance. He said that he was turned on after Rock and many others came back and was forgotten. He said he has loyalty now to Shane and the Alliance. He said the Dudleyz are the best tag team in the company and WWF turned their backs on them and tried to put them in the shadow of Spike and Molly Holly.
Lilian Garcia interviewed Jericho and she asked him about facing Rhyno for the first time. Jericho said Stephanie probably remembers her first time with the captain of the football team, captain of the basketball team, chess club etc. He then said Stephanie had home field advantage because they were in the Silicon Valley.
Match #2: 6-Man Tag Team Match
The Dudley Boyz & Test vs. Spike Dudley & APA
Buh Buh and Faarooq started off the match and the Dudleyz got the upperhand with some double-teaming and then D-Von was tagged in. Test was then tagged in and he went right to work on Faarooq. He got him in the corner and took cheap shots at him. Faarooq then turned the match around and tagged in Bradshaw who came right in and started dropping the elbow drops.
D-Von was tagged back in and he got Bradshaw in their corner and the entire team teamed up on him. Bradshaw then nailed a huge DDT and only got a 2-count. Bradshaw tagged in Spike. Buh Buh was quickly tagged in and he came in and went to work on his ½ brother. Buh Buh got Spike in the middle of the ring and left him there for Test. Test drop an elbow on little Spike and then nailed him hard with a Spinebuster.
On the outside, the Dudleyz pulled out a huge table from under the ring. Test got Spike in a Gorilla Press and tried to toss him over the ropes, through the table on the outside, but Spike gouged the eyes and broke free. Buh Buh was tagged in and him and D-Von came in and nailed Spike with a huge FlapJack and then Buh Buh got only a 2-count. D-Von was then tagged in and he slammed down Spike and went to the middle rope. He missed and Spike then started to make his way over to the corner for a tag. Test and Bradshaw were then both tagged in at the same time.
Bradshaw went right to work on Test and nailed him with several clotheslines in a row. Test then countered and went for a boot to the face, but Bradshaw ducked and power bombed Test. The count was interrupted and Test grabbed Spike and tossed him through the table on the outside. Shane then came in while the ref checked on Spike and bashed Bradshaw over the head and Test got the 3-count and a victory for the Alliance.
Winner(s): Test & The Dudleyz (Alliance)
The WWF guys were in the back congratulating Edge on his victory and Christian came in and said he talked to the commissioner and got a European Title match for RAW tomorrow night. His cell phone then rang and it was their Grandma. He tried to tell her about his title shot but she wanted to talk to Edge. She talked to him and then hung up on Christian.
Shawn Stasiak then came into Austin’s lockerroom looking for Stone Cold. Debra was in the room and he asked where Steve was. She told him he was getting ready for his important mach with Kurt Angle and seemed to be mad that he barged in. He said he wanted to impress Stone Cold and he thought his tights weren’t going to help since they were pink. She told him to kick someone’s ass and that would impress Steve.
Match #3: Light Heavyweight/Cruiserweight Double Title Match
Tajiri vs. X-Pac
The two lightweights got the match started at a slow pace but the pace of the match picked up quickly. Tajiri got an early takedown on X-Pac and then got him in a leglock. X-Pac broke free and got out of the ring and then came back in and tried to gain some offense, but was hip tossed and then thrown to the outside. Tajiri hit the springboard moonsault on X-Pac but did not follow up and got slammed into the steel ring post.
X-Pac got Tajiri back in the ring and locked him in an inverted Surfboard. He let him go and Tajiri whipped him off the ropes. He went for a dropkick but X-Pac caught him and power bombed him hard to the mat. X-Pac set up Tajiri for the broncobuster in the corner but when he went for hit, he moved and X-Pac hit the ropes. Tajiri then nailed X-Pac with a strong baseball kick to the face. Tajirj then got X-Pac upstairs and they had a short exchange. Tajiri got him down in a pinning combination and then nailed a German suplex and almost for a 3-count with the bridge.
Tajiri was thrown to the outside and X-Pac nailed him with a plancha. Albert then made his way to ring. Albert got up on the ring apron to interfere but Tajiri sprayed the mist in his eyes to get him away. X-Pac took advantage of Tajiri’s back being turned and turned him around, nailed him with the X-Factor and got the 3-count. X-Pac now holds both lightweight titles.
Winner: X-Pac
Stephanie was talking to Rhyno in the back and she told him it was very important to her for him to beat Jericho for her. She went crazy telling him she wanted him to gore him into the mat etc. Rhyno said it was under control and he would take him out once and for all.
Chris Jericho vs. Rhyno
Rhyno got Jericho in a headlock and then Jericho whipped him off the ropes. Jericho ducked a clothesline and then nailed Rhyno and hit him with repeated punches to the face. He then backed him into the ropes and nailed several knife-edge chops and then tried to get him in the Walls of Jericho. He failed but then got Rhyno out on the apron and then dropkicked him all the way to the floor.
Stephanie climbed to the ring apron while Jericho got up top. She tried to knock Jericho down but he kicked her away. He went for a big splash at Rhyno but he caught him and slammed him down on the outside mats. Jericho looked to be in pain. Rhyno picked up Jericho and dropped him down hard across the top rope. While Jericho was down, Stephanie walked over and slapped him in the face.
Rhyno then locked Jericho in a body scissors hold in the middle of the ring. Jericho fought his way out and then went for shots to Rhyno’s gut. Rhyno then got Jericho up on his shoulders into an airplane spin and then he dropped him into a modified Diamond Cutter. Rhyno then got Jericho in a reverse chin lock. Jericho fought to his feet and then threw the elbows to the gut of Rhyno.
Jericho rolled up Rhyno and almost got a 3-count. Rhyno knocked out Jericho again. He then went up top and went for a splash and missed as Jericho rolled out of the way. Both men were down and the referee went for the count-out. Rhyno then got up and nailed Jericho with the hardest knife-edge and Jericho countered and rolled him up with a backslide.
Jericho was then whipped into the corner and Rhyno went for a clothesline to follow up, but Jericho lifted the boot and nailed him. Jericho tried to fight back, but he slipped off the rope and then went for another pin. Jericho went up on the 2nd turnbuckle again and nailed Rhyno with a dropkick, but the referee was talking to Stephanie and could not make the count.
Jericho ran over and threw the ref out of the way and then grabbed Stephanie and kissed her on the lips. He turned around and went right back at Rhyno and hit him with a Lionsault. He went for the win but only got a 2-count. Jericho hit a boot to the chest and whipped Rhyno. He countered and slammed Jericho with a spinebuster. Rhyno then slapped Jericho’s own finisher, the Walls of Jericho on him in the middle of the ring.
Jericho finally made his way to the bottom rope and Rhyno had to break the hold. Rhyno got Jericho in a bear hug and then Belly-to-Belly suplexed him to the mat. Rhyno went for the gore and missed Jericho and hit the turnbuckle. Jericho locked in the Walls of Jericho in the middle of the ring. It took Rhyno a while, but he finally tapped out and handed the victory to Chris Jericho.
Winner: Chris Jericho (WWF)
The Rock was shown talking to William Regal in the locker room area. He asked Rock if he was all right after what happened at Smackdown. He said even though he was Rock Bottomed through a table he was fine. He did his usual long Rock drag out of a conversation and then he asked Regal if he smelled? He said he didn’t and all of a sudden, Shawn Stasiak came running between them and hit the wall. They ignored it and Rock said his famous line and they went back to the ring.
Match #5: Hardcore Championship Ladder Match
Jeff Hardy vs. Rob Van Dam
The match got off to a quick start and after a short exchange; both men were back on their feet, face-to-face in the middle of the ring. The crowd went nuts and they went back at it. Van Dam was taken down and Hardy did a flip and kicked RVD right in the mid-section. Jeff went at RVD and Van Dam back dropped him to the apron and then looked to the crowd. Jeff grabbed RVD and threw him to the outside and then nailed a spiral moonsault off the ring apron.
Hardy slammed RVD into the steel ring steps and then he turned it around and laid Jeff on the guardrail. He nailed a legdrop across the back of his head and then went for a steel chair. Jeff then got a ladder and brought it into the ring. He had it in the ropes and RVD hit the other end and made it seesaw up into Jeff’s face.
Jeff nailed RVD on the ladder once he got back in the ring. Jeff had the advantage and he picked RVD off the mat and whipped him off the ropes. He folded RVD right up and dropped the legs on the back of his legs and had him pinned for a 2-count. RVD then nailed Jeff with an elbow and then tied him up in the turnbuckle. Van Dam laid the ladder horizontally in the corner and laid Jeff across it. He ran from the opposite side of the ring and did a flip right onto Jeff, on the ladder.
Jeff was down and out under the ladder and Jeff picked him up by the hair. Jeff was whipped into the ropes and nailed with a spinning heel kick on his way back. Van Dam picked up Jeff again and Superkicked him right onto the ladder in the corner. Van Dam leaped over the top rope and hit a leg drop on Jeff on the ladder.
While RVD came back in the ring, Jeff drop kicked the ladder and nailed RVD in the face. Van Dam was recovering on the outside and Jeff set up the ladder to go for the title. He went up the ladder and RVD came in and kicked him right down. Jeff hit the mat hard and was down and out.
RVD picked up Jeff and then laid the ladder on top of him. RVD dropped down on the ladder and smashed Jeff and did some damage to himself as well. RVD then set up the ladder and went for the title. He got up top and Jeff, from the top turnbuckle, dropkicked the ladder and knocked it over, causing RVD to come down hard on the mat.
Jeff hit RVD with a DDT and then went back upstairs. He went for the Swanton Bomb and RVD got out of the way. RVD then went up top and went for his huge Frog Splash, but Jeff moved out of the way as well. Jeff grabbed the ladder and set it up under the hanging title. Van Dam got up and climbed the other side. Van Dam got Jeff in a front face lock and nailed a Vertical suplex on him from the top of the ladder.
Van Dam then went for the ladder but Jeff climbed up the other side. They exchanged blows at the top of the ladder and Jeff leaped over RVD and hit a Sunset flip and him to the mat from the top of the ladder. Jeff climbed the ladder again and made it to the top. He grabbed the belt and held on and RVD moved the ladder. He could not get the belt free and he was just hanging there. Jeff was swinging and RVD tried to hit him with a kick and missed and Jeff then fell to the mat.
Jeff got to the top of the ladder again and RVD pushed it over again and he hit the ropes. Van Dam got up the ladder and unlatched the title and fell to the mat before Jeff could push down the ladder. Rob Van Dam captured the Hardcore Title.
Winner: Rob Van Dam – New Hardcore Champion
Shane McMahon came into the back and had a gift for Booker T. He opened it and it was Bookends. Booker was happy and he shook Shane’s hand and walked away dedicated the match to Shane.
They then showed flashbacks of the events leading up to the Cage match between DDP & Kanyon and Undertaker & Kane.
Match #6: Steel Cage Double Tag Team Championship Match
Undertaker & Kane vs. Diamond Dallas Page & Kanyon
Sara came down with Undertaker and Kane and locked the door when they got in. Taker and Page went right at it on the inside while Kane pulled Kanyon down into the ring. Page whipped UT into the ropes and got a clothesline and then went for the pin. They then switched and DDP went after Kane in the corner, while Taker worked over Kanyon on the opposite side. Both big men then took down the Alliance members in the middle of the ring.
Kane threw Kanyon over the top rope into the steel cage and then Taker did the same to DDP. Kanyon then grabbed Kane’s head and slammed him into the cage wall. He turned around and chokeslammed Kane. Taker then grabbed Page and got him on his shoulder then slammed him face-first into the cage wall. Kane then grabbed Kanyon and slammed the back of his head into the cage and left him on the turnbuckle.
Taker slammed Page into the side of the cage yet again and then Kanyon leaped off the ropes and clotheslined Taker to the mat. He tried to climb out of the cage, but Kane caught him and pulled him down. Kanyon grabbed Kane by the hair and then took him down to the mat hard. Page and Kanyon then tried to climb out of the ring, but the brothers got up and pulled them both down. Taker climbed up to the top and stomped on DDP’s hands to make him fall back into the ring. He then told Kane to let Kanyon escape the cage and Kanyon did just that.
Page was then left alone in the ring with Undertaker and Kane. Taker slammed him into the turnbuckle and Kane followed up and nailed him with a splash. Taker hammered away at DDP in the corner and brought him down to the mat. Taker then threw Page into the cage wall and then backed him into the corner. Taker then told DDP to get out of the ring and he would spare his life if he would never look at Sara again. DDP started to get out and Taker pulled him right back in.
Taker got DDP in the Last Ride and told his wife it was for her. DDP was down and out and Taker made the cover and got the 3-count to capture the WWF tag titles for the WWF in addition to their WCW tag straps.
Winner(s): Undertaker & Kane – New WWF Tag Team Champions
The Rock was in the back talking to a doctor. He said he was just fine and that it would take more than one Rock Bottom to take him out. Stasiak then came in again and tried to nail Rock and missed. He just ignored him and walked out telling the doctor he would be the new WCW Champion.
Match #7: WWF Championship Match
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Kurt Angle
Austin came out and him and Angle locked eyes while he was on the stage. They met in the aisle and began to battle it out there before they made their way to the ring. Austin got Angle in the corner and threw fists at him. He whipped him into the opposite corner, but Angle countered and clotheslined him. Austin then got up and nailed Angle in the head with an elbow shot. Austin then pulled Angle to the ropes and used them for leverage and then stomped down on his knee.
Austin continued to work on Angle’s ankle but Angle then countered and got Austin in the Ankle lock. Austin tossed Angle to the outside and then tossed him back into the ring. They exchanged blows in the ring and Austin backdropped Angle to the outside, back to the floor. He brought him back into the ring and suplexed Angle twice and then took shots at his head with his knee.
Austin hit another suplex and went for a pin, but only got a 2-count. Angle countered and hit three German suplexes in a row and went for a fourth and was almost denied, but then hit it and then he went for a fifth and nailed that one as well. Angle fought Austin and then nailed the sixth suplex in a row and then looked to the crowd for approval.
Austin got Angle from behind and lifted him up to the top turnbuckle. He went up and tried to grab Angle, but he blocked him and pushed him off the ropes. Austin went back up and hit the superplex from the very top rope. Both men were down and the ref started the 10 count. Austin kicked Angle in the gut and nailed him with the Stone Cold Stunner and then went for the pin. Angle kicked out somehow at 2 and Austin got him right up and hit another one.
Angle rolled out of the ring and Austin followed him out and slammed him into the ring post 3 times. Austin picked up the WWF title and went at Angle, but the referee, Earl Hebner, took it away from him. He chased Hebner and then went back to work on Angle. He nailed him into the post again and Angle was now bleeding. Austin then connected with numerous blows to the face, which cut Angle open even more and Angle fell to the ground.
Austin rolled Angle back into the ring and went for the pin, but again only got a 2-count. He picked up Angle and tossed him out of the ring yet again and then slammed him right back into the ring post. Austin slammed Angle into the announcers’ table and then tried to slam him into the barrier, but Angle countered to buy some time. Austin got up and suplexed Angle right over the barrier into the crowd.
Angle got back over the railing and Austin followed, but Angle grabbed him on the rail and got him in the Ankle lock. Ankle then dragged Austin up the steel steps and into the middle of the ring. He locked in the Ankle lock and Austin was screaming in pain as he reached out and grabbed the bottom rope.
Austin and Angle went back to the outside and Angle hit a belly-to-belly suplex on the Rattlesnake on the outside. Austin went wide swing and missed, allowing Angle to hit a suplex on Austin again. Angle rolled Austin back into the ring and then went up to the top turnbuckle. He nailed Austin with a moonsault and then got his arm on Austin’s chest for the cover. He only got a 2-count.
Angle scooped up Austin for a slam, but Austin wiggled free and locked in the Cobra Clutch from behind. He muscled him down to the mat and held the move in tightly. Angle got back to his feet and countered to get Austin in a pinning combination. Austin held onto his Cobra Clutch and Angle finally fought free and shook Austin through the ropes, to the outside. Austin got back in the ring and waited for Angle to get back up to his feet.
Angle got up and turned around and was nailed with the Stunner by Austin. He went for the cover and somehow Angle kicked out again from the Stunner. Angle pulled himself up and Austin started to slap him in the face to insult him. Angle snapped and nailed Austin with the Olympic Slam but was slow to get over and make the cover. Once he did, Austin was able to kick out. Angle then got the Ankle lock on him again, but he got to the ropes.
Austin then got up and struck the referee in the face on purpose and he fell out of the ring. Another referee was sent down after Angle nailed Austin and went for a pin. Austin kicked out and then he nailed Angle with a low blow. When the new ref got in his face, Austin gave him the Stunner. Austin then went to the outside and got the WWF title strap. He was going to nail Angle, but a 3rd ref stopped him. Austin nailed that ref and Angle snuck up and hit the Olympic slam.
WCW referee Nick Patrick made his way to the ring as the 4th referee and refused to count for Kurt Angle. Patrick disqualified Austin for injuring the referees and awarded the match to Angle. This allowed Austin to keep the WWF Title. Angle snapped and went after Patrick after the match and then he slammed him down and got him in the Ankle lock.
Winner: Kurt Angle by DQ
Match #8: WCW Championship Match
Booker T. vs. The Rock
Booker T. had the advantage and he and Rock went at it in the ring. Booker T. got Rock on the outside and tossed him to the outside table. Shane was outside as well helping Booker T. Booker slammed him into the guard barrier and then picked him back up and yelled to the people in the front row. They got back in the ring and Booker threw a right at Rock, but he blocked it and came with some shots of his own.
Rock and Booker exchanged blows in the ring and Rock whipped him into the ropes. Booker countered and nailed Rock to the mat. Booker got Rock in a reverse chin lock and muscled him down to the mat. Booker then stretched out the arms of Rock and got back to his feet and kicked the Rock in the gut. Rock then took down Booker and got him in the Sharpshooter.
Booker got free and went for the cover, but only got a 2-count. Rock crawled to the side and Booker picked him up. Rock got up and hit a clothesline on Booker T. and then catapulted him into the turnbuckle. He then nailed him with a DDT and went for the cover, but only got a 2. On the outside, Shane grabbed a steel chair and put it on the ring apron.
Booker made his way over to the chair and as he grabbed it, the ref pulled it from him. The referee was not looking and Shane came in and nailed Rock with the WCW Heavyweight title belt. The APA then ran out and Bradshaw delivered the clothesline from Hell on Shane and the referee then kicked the 2 out of the arena.
Booker T. turned around and nailed Rock with the Rock Bottom aka the Bookend and went for the cover. Rock kicked out again and got right up to his feet. Booker went for a shot to the face, but Rock blocked and nailed him with a DDT. He whipped Booker into the ropes and nailed him with the spinebuster and then set up for the People’s Elbow.
Rock hit the move and went for the cover. Shane got in the ring and stopped the referee from making the full 3-count and Rock then got out of the ring and gave him the Rock Bottom on the outside. Rock then got back in the ring and got Booker back in the corner and whaled away at him.
Booker countered and took down Rock and was slow to follow up. Booker kicked Rock in the gut and then nailed him from the side with the scissors kick. Booker then signaled for the Spinnerooney and turned around only to get nailed with the Rock Bottom. Rock covered Booker T. and got the 3-count to begin his first ever WCW title reign.
Winner: The Rock – New WCW World Champion Click
