Stephanie McMahon's debut as the General Manager of Smackdown was shown. She talked about Eric Bischoff and said he would not ever be able to take the Smackdown stars to Raw. She said he would not get Hogan, Edge and most definitely not Triple H, the man Eric thinks could have saved WCW from going down.
Stephanie then approached Triple H by his limo and he ended up asking her is she gained weight and then got into the car. The window then went down and Bischoff was in the limo with him and he told Stephanie she looked great and laughed as they drove away.
The Rock took on Kurt Angle in the Main Event of Smackdown, both of which are in the Undisputed Championship match with The Undertaker. Rock was set to hit the People' Elbow but the Undertaker came down and stopped Rock with the big boot to the face and this allowed Kurt to get The People's Champ in the Ankle Lock. The former Olympic champion proved to everyone that he could make The Rock tap.
Match #1 Tag Team Table Match
Chris Benoit & Eddie Guerrero vs. Buh Buh Ray & Spike Dudley
Benoit and Spike started the match and The Crippler took the upperhand on Little Spike right away. Benoit hit a backbreaker on Spike and then backed him into his corner where Eddie could help get cheapshots off. Eddie and Buh Buh were both tagged in and Latino Heat had a quick offense and then tagged in Benoit again, who nailed Buh Buh with a huge clothesline right away.
Eddie was then tagged back in and he got whipped into the turnbuckle and Buh Buh went for a head butt and missed and nailed the mat. This allowed Eddie to make another tag to Benoit. Buh Buh knocked Eddie off the ring apron and Benoit hit a huge German Suplex and then backed Buh Buh Ray into the corner and tagged Eddie in. They double-teamed the big Dudley and then took Spike off the apron on the other side of the ring.
The two former members of the Radicals were dominating the match and Benoit hit a back drop on Buh Buh and then choked him in the corner and Eddie came over and helped Benoit gain more leverage on the choke. Buh Buh tried to mount some offense, but Eddie was right there on the ring apron to get some cheap shots in and allow Benoit to take the big man down to the mat and stomp away at him. Meanwhile on the outside, Eddie was getting the table set up.
Buh Buh was down on the mat on his hands and knees and Spike leaped off him, over the ropes and nailed Eddie right near the table. Benoit went outside and slammed Little Spike into the steel ring steps and then got back in the ring and suplexed the hell out of Buh Buh. Eddie then tossed the table back into the ring and they set it up in the middle of the ring. They lifted Buh Buh to the top rope and Spike ran in and moved the table before they could SuperPlex him through it.
Benoit then got Spike in the corner while Eddie got another table in the ring. They set it up propped in the corner while the Dudleyz were down. Benoit and Eddie whipped Spike to the propped up table and Buh Buh ran in the way and made the save from losing the match. Buh Buh then fired up and his a backbreaker on Benoit and then tossed Eddie off of the top rope. He scoop slammed Benoit and then took down Eddie. Spike climbed to the top and hit the Whassup Flying Headbutt in the mid-section of Benoit and then Buh Buh told Spike to get the table.
Benoit then got up quickly and locked Spike in the Crippler Crossface. Spike tapped, but you have to be put through the table to lose the match. Buh Buh then got Benoit and laid him on the table and went for a splash and missed and went through the table himself, but could stay in the match snice there ws no offensive move to put him through it. Spike then tossed the two competitors and tossed them out of the ring.
The two battled on the ring apron and Eddie went for a suplex on Spike, but the little man countered and hit the Acid Drop on Guerrero through the table. Eddie was eliminated from the match and this left Benoit by himself against the two brothers. In the ring, Spike was whipped off the ropes by Benoit and then Gorilla Pressed over the ropes, to the outside and through a table. It was now down to just Benoit and Buh Buh. Benoit went right after Buh Buh and got Suplexed right through the table he had set up in the center of the ring.
Winner(s): The Dudleyz
Jonathan Coachman interviewed Eric Bischoff in the backstage area. Coach said that Eric had to have been pleased with the great performance of the Smackdown atheletes in the previous match. He then said he had to focus on getting one main superstar for Smackdown. He then saw Triple H walking toward Stephanie's locker room. He stopped him and asked him why he was going in there and Triple H told him that he was now giving Stephanie her opportunity to put her sales pitch on him and he would decide where he wanted to go. Bischoff was shocked and Triple H told him that you always have to negotiate.
Match #2 Cruiserweight Championship Match
Jamie Noble w/ Nidia vs. Billy Kidman
Billy Kidman got the immediate upperhand in the match and sent Noble to the outside of the ring to be consoled by his manager and girlfriend, Nidia. Back in the ring, Kidman hit the Head-Scissors takedown and then sent Noble back through the ropes to the outside. Kidman leaped over the ropes at Noble and he countered and then threw Nidia into Kidman. Jamie then hit a clothesline on the outside and then slammed Kidman into the steps and then got him back into the ring and went for a pin.
Noble continued to have the match under control. Noble went for a takedown and then got Kidman in a reverse arm lock in the middle of the ring. Noble went for a powerbomb and Kidman countered the move and sent Noble face-fist into the mat. Kidman then went upstairs, but Noble stopped him on his way up. Kidman fought back and hit a double-leg into a powerbomb off the top rope. Kidman went up top again and went for the Spinning DDT, but Noble countered and Kidman went up again and went for the high-risk and missed and nearly got a 3-count from Noble's pin.
Noble picked up Kidman and hit his finisher in the middle of the ring. He nailed the double underhook suplex and held the move into the 1-2-3 for the victory and to retain his Crusierweight Championship.
Winner: Jamie Noble
Kurt Angle was being interviewed in the back and was talking about winning the Undisputed the title tonight and Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar interrupted him. Paul said he wanted to talk about Summerslam and he pointed out that if he won the title, he would have to face The Next Big Thing at Summerslam. Heyman started to kiss Angle's ass and he made him stop and told them that it was not the Summer of Brock and that he would love to face him at Summerslam and defeat him. Brock gave Kurt a meaningless good luck and walked away and Angle called him arrogant and said he hated people like that.
Match #3 European Championship Match
Jeff Hardy vs. William Regal
The match began and Regal gain an offense against the high-flyer. Regal got the champion in many submission and pressure holds in the middle of the ring. Hardy finally got Regal on the outside and leaped over the ropes dove right onto Regal. He slammed him into steel steps and then they fought back into the ring. Jeff took down Regal and then went up top and went for the Swanton and Regal lifted the knees to counter the move. They continued to battle in the ring and Regal began to gain some offense. Jeff then countered and whipped him to the mat with an armbar and then rolled him up in the middle of the ring to win the match and retain his title.
Winner: Jeff Hardy
After the match, William Regal threw a fit in the middle of the ring and looked to be crying after his loss.
In the back, Hogan came up to Flair and Jeff Hardy. He told Jeff he did a great job and then after he left, he talked about how great Jeff was and then he said tonight in his match, he wanted to try a Hogan Swanton. They then got serious and Flair told Hogan he was focused on the young superstars and not getting them tied up in the power struggle between Bischoff and Stephanie McMahon. Hogan agreed on that and then they said those two could put this place out of business if they weren't watch over.
Match #4 Chris Jericho vs. John Cena
Chris Jericho came down to the ring and as Cena came down to the ring, Jericho went outside and got a chair and ran down the aisle and went after him with it. Cena ducked the shot and took the chair. He slammed it into Jericho 's back and then they got in the ring, where Cena took it to Y2J. He hit repeated clotheslines and Jericho ducked out of the ring to regroup. He got back in and Cena hit a spinebuster and got a 2-count on the pin attempt on Jericho . Jericho got up and slammed Cena down on his back and then took it to him while he was down on the mat.
Jericho hit a splash in the corner on Cena and then went to the opposite corner and removed the turnbuckle pad. He then turned around and nailed Cena with a spinning heel kick and then mocked him while he tried to get up off of the mat. Cena went for a clothesline in pure desperation and Jericho face planted him to the mat and then went up top and wasted too much time. This allowed Cena to take him down off the ropes and got for a pin. Cena then hit a tilt-a-world slam and went for the pin again, but only got 2.
Jericho then dropkicked Cena in the gut and went for the pin and Cena somehow kicked out. Cena then got up and went for the Oklahoma roll up and got caught in the move and nearly got pinned himself. Jericho then hit the Lionsault and waited for Cena to get up. He took him down again and then went for the Walls of Jericho. Cena countered the move and rolled up Jericho to win the match and prove his point to Chris Jericho. After the match, Jericho went nuts and started destroying the ringside area and screaming his whole way back down the aisle.
Winner: John Cena
Eric Bischoff was shown waiting by Stephanie's locker room and a man walked up to the door. Bischoff got in the face of the man and asked him who he was and what he was doing. He said he was Stephanie's attorney and was sent to deliver some legal documents. Eric tried to find out what the documents were and he said he was not at liberty to discuss them and went into the room with Triple H and Stephanie. Bischoff looked very unpleased and tried to listen on from outside.
Jerry Lawler and Good Ol' Jim Ross then made their entrance to ringside area to take over the commentating table for Michael Cole and Tazz.
Match #5 Intercontinental Championship Match
Rob Van Dam vs. Brock Lesnar w/ Paul Heyman
RVD and Brock kicked off the match in the middle of the ring right after The Next Big Thing took the IC belt from the ref and tried it on in fron tof RVD. The match got started and RVD's face paced intense style helped him get the upperhand on Brock. He hit a drop toe hold on him and slammed his face into the turnbuckle. Van Dam then got Brock in a headlock and he used his pure strength to throw RVD right across the ring.
They battled to the outside and Brock caught RVD in mid-air and power slammed him so hard into the mat. Brock then picked up RVD and slammed him down into his knee. Brock then picked up RVD and power slamme him yet again to the mat. Brock looked to the crowd for approval and got nothing but boos from the crowd. He then went right back to Van Dam and got nailed with a Spinning Heel Kick. RVD hit the big boot to the face of Brock and then went for the moonsault and missed and Brock tossed him like nothing out of the ring.
Brock went to the outside and continued to work on the back of RVD by slammed him into the steel steps. They got back into the ring and Brock got RVD in the bear hug and then slammed him into the turnbuckle and then nailed him with the big shoulder. Brock got Van Dam in the abdominal stretch in the center of the ring and then released him and missed a clothesline and RVD hit a back kick right in the face of Brock. RVD then hit a dropkick and then a legdrop over the top on the ring apron.
Rob Van Dam hit the rolling thunder and went for the pin, but Brock kicked out at 2. Van Dam nailed him with a kick and then went up top, but Brock walked over and got him up on his shoulders for his finisher, but RVD countered and slammed Brock into the mat with a DDT. Van Dam got back up and hit the 5-Star Frog Splash and went for the pin, but at 2, Heyman pulled the referee out of the ring and he kicked Heyman's ass. Brock had to pull the ref off of Heyman. This allowed RVD to nailed Brock from the top rope. The Ref was out and RVD went for a chair on the outside. He had Brock in the corner and going to go for the Van Terminator from across the ring, but Heyman stopped him and Brock slammed him from off of the top into the mat.
Brock then picked up Rob Van Dam and hit the F5 and slammed the champ through the table. The match was called and Brock was disqualified because of the incident with Charles Robinson, the referee. Rob Van Dam retained his Intercontinental Title, but walked away from the match looking like he lost the battle with Brock Lesnar.
Winner: Rob Van Dam
Stephanie came out of her locker room from her meeting with Triple H and looked to be displeased. Eric Bischoff got in her face and said it didn't look like everything went too well with The Game. Stephanie looked at him and said that he signed the papers. Eric was pissed and was furious with Triple H went he came out of the room. He asked him how he could ever side with Stephanie and said he should still be with Bischoff negotiating a deal. Triple H told him he signed nothing but his divorce papers and it was all personal business that went on and he still never made up his mind where he was going. Bischoff perked right up and was sure again that he would get The Game for Raw.
Match #6 No Holds Barred Match
Booker T vs. The Big Show
Booker T came right down and went for the side kick on Big Show, but he caught him and tossed him to the mat and then suplexed him down to the mat. Show slammed Booker down and then stepped across his back. Booker got up and hit an inzuguri on Show, but was then power slammed to the mat and then back into the corner by Show. Big Show hit repeated chops to the chest and then Booker bounced back to gain some offense. They battled to the outside and Booker T his a legdrop on Show through the table.
They battled back into the ring and Show had the upperhand. Booker T dug deep and went upstairs to hit the Houston Hangover and got the 3-count to win the match. After the match, Booker T did the Spinnerooney in the middle of the ring to celebrate.
Winner: Booker T
Dawn Marie and Torrie Wilson were at WWE The World and they were talking about the PPV. Torrie pointed out that the last time she was at The World, she won the Golden Thong award. Torrie then said she thought Rock was going to win the Undisputed Title at Vengeance and Dawn Marie jumped all over her saying she was the type to pick the Rock. She then yelled at her and said she should have won the Golden Thong award and told everyone to look at her butt because it looked better in a thong. They then cut back to the PPV.
Triple H Segment
The Game made his way down to the ring to apparently make his decision about whether he was going to Raw or Smackdown. Triple H got in the ring and took the mic and Eric Bischoff's music hit and he came down the aisle. He first apologized for getting into his personal affairs earlier in the evening, and then said that by coming to Raw he wouldn't have to worry about personal problems. He then went on to say that he spent the last year working with networks and movie stars and everyone has been talking about the Rock, but they are looking for something new in Triple H. He said the networks and movie producers want Triple H and he could make a lot happen for him, including a sneaker deal.
Stephanie McMahon's music then hit and she made her way down to the ring. She told Eric Bischoff to shut up. Stephanie said that her personal history with Triple H makes her know him and that relationship is why she knows what he is capable of. She said they could be unstoppable as a team again, but under a business relationship only. Stephanie started to tell them that signing the divorce papers was the hardest thing she ever had to do.
Eric interruped her and said she needed to stop the sob story. She then pointed out that Bischoff told Triple H a long time ago that he didn't have what it took to be a part of this business. He said it was true, but he was young had no experience then and he had learned over the years and now had much more experience and knowledge than Ms. McMahon.
Triple H then took the mic and said that he had one of the biggest assholes in the business and one of the biggest bitches askign him to make a deal and he could say screw you to either one. Triple H said he made his decision and stuck his hand out to shake Bischoff's hand, but then pulled away and said he would rather go with the devil he knows, instead of the one he doesn't. Shawn Michael's Heartbreak Kid music then hit and he made his way down to the ring.
Shawn came in and snatched a microphone and said that everyone knows that he never wants to start trouble. HBK said he was the one who originally said he was going to come out and bring Triple H back into his family of friends in the nWo. He said the problem was though is that Nash is hurt and Vince has disbanded the New World Order.
He said he would not want to be in Triple H's shoes with this pressure, but he wanted him to consider a few things when he makes his decision. The two things are friends and fun. He said that nobody but maybe Kevin had been as good of a friend to Triple H. He then pointed out that he has never had as much fun with anyone like he did with Shawn. HBK then proposed that they get back together and make Bischoff's life a living hell on Raw.
Triple H looked to the crowd for some kind of advice and a "D-X" chant started up. Triple H said he was not sure and then looked at Stephanie and said "Sorry Steph!" and shook Shawn's hand and the two left together.
Bischoff was in the ring with the pissed off Stephanie and he was very pleased at what had just happened. Eric walked up to Stephanie and said that he was sorry and then said he knew why this happened, and that's because he had testicles and she did not. Stephanie slapped him in the face and left and Bischoff left looking somewhat stupid.
Triple H signs with Raw
Rikishi was interviewed in the backstage area about what had just happened. He said that he feels sorry for the young guys in the locker room who look up to Triple H. He said he hopes Triple H is happy with his decision, because he had to do what he had to do, but he did not like it too much.
Match #7 Tag Team Championship Match
Hollywood Hulk Hogan & Edge vs. The Anti-Americans
As the match got underway, a " USA " chant fell over the arena. Christian and Storm got the upperhand and double-teamed Hogan in the ring with a double suplex. Hollywood then got right up and nailed then both with a clothesline and then battled Storm in the ring. He backed him up into the corner and punched him repeatedly and then tagged in Edge. Edge got double-teamed by his brother and Storm and then Christian was tagged in. He took Edge down to the mat and then picked him up for a back breaker and went for the pin, but Edge kicked out at 2.
Christian pulled Edge near the corner and went upstairs. He went for a flying elbow drop and missed and Edge then hit the inzuguri on him and then took out Storm and made the tag to Hogan. He took down Storm with the big boot and then missed it on Christian and he his the reverse DDT. Hogan got up quickly and hulked up to Christian and hammered away at him and Storm. He hit the big boot on Christian and then nailed him with the legdrop, but Storm interrupted the count. Christian threw Hogan out of the ring and Storm nailed him with the Superkick on the outside.
Storm and Christian double-teamed Hogan in the corner. Hogan then took them both down with clotheslines and then got Edge tagged in. He dominated both Anti-Americans and hit a huge maneuver on Storm and almost got the 3-count. Edge went for Storm with the Spear and missed and nailed the referee. Edge hit the Edgecution, but there was no ref to make the count. Test then camr down and nailed Edge with the big boot and Storm pinned him, but Edge somehow kicked out.
Rikishi then came down and took out Test and in the ring, Edge hit the Spear on Storm. Christian distracted the referee with Hogan on the outside and Jericho ran in the ring with the title belt and clocked Edge right in the head. Lance Storm then pinned him in the middle of the ring to capture the WWE Tag Team Championshipf or the Anti-Americans.
Winner(s): Christian & Lance Storm
Eric Bischoff was shown in the back trying to recruit Kurt Angle over to Raw. Angle seemed more focused on his match rather than what Bischoff had to say.
Stephanie was then interviewed and she said she is not worried about Bicshoff, because she had personal contact with every superstar and she is planning to rip the heart of Raw while Eric never suspects it.
Match #8 Undisputed Championship Match
The Undertaker vs. The Rock vs. Kurt Angle
The three competitors paced around the ring carefully and Rock and Taker got in eachother's faces and started to exchange words. Angle got pissed and pushed them both and told them to pay attention to him and they double-teamed him and took him out of the ring. Rock then took it to Taker in the ring. He whipped him off the ropes and hit a clothesline, but Taker came right back and did the same adn then Angle got Taker on the outside. He slammed the Champion into the ropes and then Angle got in the ring and suplexed Rock. Angle then got Rock backed into the corner and hit repeated knife-edge chops on him. Rock then turned it around and did the same to Angle, but he countered and hit another suplex.
Angle hit another back suplex. Rock got up and hit the DDT on Angle and then they battled to the outside. Angle slammed Rock into the guard barrier and then out of nowhere, Taker attacked Angle and slammed him into the steel steps. Taker then went over and worked on Rock. They got back in the ring and Rock fought back with blows to Taker. Taker then countered the attack and went for a pin on Rock, but he kicked out. Rock then hit the chokeslam on Undertaker in the middle of the ring and Angle came in and interruped the count.
Angle then got up and worked on Rock in the corner. Rock tried to get Angle in the Ankle Lock, but he broke free and then Angle used the Rock Bottom on the Rock and went for the pin, but Undertaker stopped the count. Angle then went for the Angle Slam on Taker, but Taker hit the move on him instead and went for the pin, but Rock interrupted that count.
Rock then hit a clothesline on Taker and then tossed Angle out of the ring. Rock then hit the People's Elbow on Undertaker in the middle of the ring. Angle then pulled Rock out of the ring and slammed him on the table and then went inside and tried to get the 3-count on Taker.
Undertaker whipped Angle into the ropes and he bounced back and went for a Spear in the corner, but missed and hit the ringpost. They fought to the outside and Taker had Angle down. Rock came up and spit water in the face of The Champion and then went to work on him. He countered the attack and then went back to work on Kurt Angle. Undertaker hit the legdrop from the ring apron on Angle and then nailed him with a headbutt.
Rock got up on the outside and he did the old school walking the ropes into a big punch to the face of Rock. Undertaker nailed Rock with a DDT and went for the pin, but Rock kicked out. Kurt Angle grabbed a steel chair on the outside while Taker set up for a chokeslam in the ring. Rock hit a low blow and Taker went down. Earl Hebner got hurt in the mix and the bloody Angle nailed Undertaker in the face with a chair and then hit the Angle slam on Rock. He leaned over and tried to pin Taker, but he kicked out.
Angle then inched over and tried to pin Rock, but he also kicked out. Rock hit a leg lace takedown on Angle and then got him in the Sharpshooter. Undertaker nailed Rock in the head before Angle would tap out and Taker hit the Last Ride on Rock. Angle grabbed Undertaker and got him in the Ankle Lock to stop the count. Undertaker got up and rolled out of the hold and tried to hit the Last Ride, but Angle got up and locked him in the Triangle Choke down on the mat.
The ref was checking the arm of Taker, but Rock broke the hold. Angle rolled through Rock's hold and got him in the Ankle lock as well. Rock countered the move and pinned Angle, but he managed to kick out at 2. Rock hit the Rock Bottom on Undertaker and he kicked out. All men were down in the ring and Rock was the first to get to his feet. Angle rolled him up for the pin, but he got free and then got nailed with a big boot from Taker. Angle hit the Angle Slam on Taker and then got the Rock Bottom from Rock. Rock pinned Angle and Taker tried to make the save, but the ref counted 3 and Rock captured the Undisputed Championship.
