Location: New York, NY
Commentators: Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler
Reporter: Fred Cook

The fireworks went off in the arena and WWE RAW kicked off live from Madison Square Garden in New York City with Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler kicking it off on commentary! Tonight, the World Heavyweight Title will be decided when Triple H puts the title on the line against Kane and Kane must win to become the Champion or he must unmask and reveal his identity!

-Scott Steiner and Booker T vs. Test and Christian
Scott Steiner made his way out to the ring along with Stacy Keibler and this is a tag team match with Scott Steiner and Booker T against Test and Christian.

Christian and Booker T started it off in the ring and Christian gave Booker some right hands to start it off and then Booker whipped Christian off the ropes and knocked him down with a clothesline. Booker then gave Christian a body slam and then a pin for a two count.

Scott Steiner gave Test a reverse DDT and then a pin for a two count as Christian broke it up.

Stacy got on the ring apron and Test grabbed her and Stacy slapped her. Test reared back to hit her back but Steiner interrupted it. Test then shoved Steiner into Stacy to knock her down from the ring apron.

Test nailed Scott Steiner with the big boot and then a pin for the three count to pick up the win for his team.

Kane was shown backstage looking at himself in a mirror and if he loses the match tonight, he'll be forced to remove his mask. We then took a look at a video package, highlighting the WWE career of Kane, starting with his debut in October of 1997.

-Chris Nowinski vs. Maven
Christopher Nowinski made his way out to the ring along with Theodore Long. Theodore took the mic and said that he is out here tonight to talk about the injustice that has been brought upon this man, Christopher Nowinski. Everyone knows as well as he does that Chris Nowinski should have won Tough Enough but he didn't win because he's a victim of discrimination. Not because of the color of his skin but becausae he's smart. He's a Harvard Graduate, believe that. So what we're going to do tonight is Maven is going to find out from Chris just what color he really is. Theodore said that light skin brothers went out a long time ago; it's time to get thugging and bugging!

Maven stormed to the ring and Chris Nowinski attacked him as he got in the ring and Chris backed Maven into the corner and gave him a European upper cut and then he whipped him to the other side of the ring and nailed him with a clothesline.

Maven rolled Chris Nowinski up with a bridge to get the three count to get the quick upset over Chris Nowinski!

Theodore Long got in the ring with Chris Nowinski and the two weren't happy as they claimed Maven hooked the trunks.

Earlier tonight, we saw the arrival of Evolution. Randy Orton and Ric Flair will take on Kevin Nash and Shawn Michaels and the Game will meet Kane for the World Title, tonight!

Chris Jericho's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring for another edition of the Highlight Reel. The fans chanted "Y2J" and Chris said to look at all the people here tonight! It's a damn shame they all have to live here in New York City. They may not like what he's saying but at least he's telling it like it is, unlike Stone Cold Steve Austin. Oh yea, Stone Cold talks a great game about tough love and motivation and this and that but he did something last week that was completely uncalled for and out of line. Chris took us to the Jeritron 5000 for the video taped evidence where Stone Cold Steve Austin rallied the fans in chanting "boring" during Lance Storm's match last week. Chris said that is absolutely pathetic. What kind of general manager would treat such a tremendous piece of talent so horrible? A jealous bastard, that's who. Chris Jericho's guest tonight is an extraordinary talent, a great looking guy, a fellow Canadian and the furthest thing from boring he can think of, ladies and gentlemen, Lance Storm!

The fans chanted "boring" and Chris told Lance that the charisma is pouring out of his veins. Lance said that he'd like to take the opportunity to read a prepared statement. As we all know, nobody enjoys a good laugh like he does, but last week, Stone Cold Steve Austin over stepped his bounds. Lance Storm is an athlete, pure and simple. His abilities inside this ring should be more than enough to entertain the masses. If they want bells and whistles, he suggests you attend the circus. In the meantime, since the fans have been insulting and damaging to his character, he'd like for everyone to stop chanting boring. As Storm was talking, a number of security guards got in the ring and started removing the Highlight Reel set. Stone Cold appeared on the Titantron and said that Jericho is boring Madison Square Garden to death! Austin told the moving guys to get everything out of the ring right now. Chris said that Austin is bitter because Chris beat him and The Rock in the same night to become the Undisputed Champion! Austin told Jericho to shut his stupid little hole. If there's one thing he can't stand worse than a bore it's a bitch and that's exactly what Jericho is right now.

-Lance Storm and Chris Jericho vs. The Dudley Boyz
Last week, Austin was just trying to help Lance out by giving him a motivational speech. If he took it the wrong way, that's his problem. Seeing as he's a "great athlete" and seeing as Chris Jericho pisses him off, he's going to make a match right now. He knows Chris is upset about getting his furniture out of the ring so the two guys they're about to face know a little something about moving furniture, so hit the music; the Dudley Boyz!

Storm and Jericho attacked the Dudleys as they got in the ring with Jericho pairing it off with D-Von and Storm pairing off with Bubba. Jericho and Storm went to whip the Dudleys into each other but it worked against them as Jericho whipped Bubba and D-Von whipped Storm and Bubba knocked Storm down with a clothesline.

When Lance Storm was tagged into the match, the fans heavily chanted "boring, boring."

Bubba went for a Samoan drop but Chris Jericho countered it and put Bubba in the Walls of Jericho but D-Von broke it up.

D-Von went for a reverse DDT on Jericho but Storm came off the top rope with a clothesline on D-Von to interrupt it. Storm immediately pinned D-Von but only got a two count.

Chris Jericho held D-Von from the apron and Storm went to hit him but D-Von moved and Storm knocked Jericho down from the ring apron and then the Dudleys put Storm in the 3D to pick up the win!

A shot of Kane was shown in the backstage area and he was pacing back and forth. Before we went to Kane, we went to some footage where Evolution took the mask off of Kane, five months ago. Kane quickly fled the scene before anyone could see his face.

Randy Orton and Ric Flair were shown and Randy Orton read a passage out of Mick Foley's new book and they both thought it was terrible. Flair said that if and when he sees Foley, down he goes. But tonight, they have a tag team match with Nash and Michaels and they're in MSG and they have to make sure the Champion walks out the door as the Champ. In other words, Kane goes down.

Non-Title Match
-La Resistance (c) vs. Sgt. Slaughter and The Hurricane
La Resistance made their way out to the ring as the Tag Team Champions and this is a non title match with La Resistance against the Hurricane and . Before the match, Sylvan Grenier asked the fans to honor the French Flag while they sing their National Anthem. As they were singing, the show went to a commercial break. (YES!) After the break, the Hurricane's music hit and he made his way out and said "Holy beotches!" They dare disrespect the USA here in New York City? What's up with dat?! Sylvan asked him what he's doing out here? Is he challenging them for a tag match? Find himself an American partner and he's on. The Hurricane said maybe he has found one; one who has made a career out of beating up maggots like them! (Sgt. Slaughter)

La Resistance started to take off their robes and get rid of them but the Hurricane and Sgt. Slaughter attacked the two from behind with the Hurricane clearing the ring of Sylvan Grenier as Sgt. Slaughter went at it with Rene Dupre.

Slaughter put Rene Dupre in the Cobra Clutch but Sylvan Grenier attacked Slaughter from behind. Slaughter then put Sylvan in the Cobra Clutch and Grenier went in the ropes to break the hold.

Rene Dupre nailed Slaughter with the title belt and then he pinned Sarge for the three count to get the win.

Kane was once again shown in the backstage area, still looking in the mirror and we were taken to another clip of Kane and that's from three weeks ago when Stone Cold Steve Austin attempted to motivate Kane and bring back the Kane of old.

Stone Cold Steve Austin's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring as the Co General Manager of RAW! Stone Cold thanked the fans for their reaction and then he said he wanted to come out here tonight and congratulate New York City because this March marks the return at Madison Square Garden of Wrestlemania! With that, the Wrestlemania XX logo lowered down with fireworks in front of the Titantron. Wrestlemania 20 is another story for another day but Austin wants to talk about something else tonight. He wants to talk about the jam he was in when he needed a special referee for a Hell in a Cell match. He couldn't depend on any referee, he needed a tough son of a bitch and there was one man for the job and that's Mick Foley. So it would be Austin's privilege if Foley would bring his blessed carcass to the ring.

Mick Foley's music then hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring. Austin said that before Foley gets all wound up and uptight, he knows Foley is going on a book tour for his new book. Austin knows Foley will be successful because he's a genius and Austin wants an autographed copy. Before he leaves, there's something Austin wanted Foley to have. Foley backed off, thinking it was a stunner but Austin told him that it's not a stunner. Austin then asked for the guys to come out and Rob Van Dam led the Dudleys, Tommy Dreamer and Al Snow out to the ring with RVD carrying what's left of the WWE Hardcore Championship belt. Austin said that Foley represented that belt like no other human being on this earth, so right now he's having a Hardcore legends ceremony for Mick Foley. If anyone has lived under a rock for the past few years and forgot what Foley did to his body for the WWE and the fans, he's got some footage for him, so roll that piece right now.

With that, they played a video package, highlighting Mick Foley's WWE career and the many bumps he has taken during his time with the company.

After seeing the video, the fans gave Foley a tremendous ovation by chanting "Foley, Foley." Austin said that he thinks it would be pretty easy to say that he doesn't think we'll see anybody else doing that and Foley is the toughest son of a bitch he's ever met, so he wants to present him with the Hardcore Title. Foley said that he almost forgot just how good he really was! Mick started to say something else but Vince McMahon's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring. Vince said that he wants to say something to Mick Foley. The last time Vince was in Foley's presence was on his private plane and it was there that he said that he'd never set foot in a WWE ring again, yet tonight here he stands. Which from a personal standpoint, it makes Vince want to take this trophy and bash him in the head with it and turn him into a puddle of ooze. From a professional standpoint, that's something else; one businessman to another one, Vince wants to say to Foley what Stone Cold is thinking. He wants to say to him what everyone in this arena is thinking. He wants to say to Foley what everyone all over the world is thinking for all the wonderful great moments he's given us all. He wants to say the two words everybody's thinking here tonight; thank you. With that, Vince McMahon shook Mick Foley's hand and then Foley gave McMahon a big hug in the ring. Foley said that he's been wanting to do that for a long time. He used to look at the TV during his time away and he'd see some of the WWE wrestlers shed a tear during their great moments and he'd think they were a bunch of wimps, but he'd be damned if they didn't show that video and the Hardcore legend didn't have a tear trickling down his cheek. Because it is indeed an honor to be in this ring and in this building of Madison Square Garden, right here in New York City with so many great performers and Al Snow. 20 years ago, Mick sat down in the third row and watched Jimmy Snuka leap off the top of a steel cage. When that match was over, he made up his mind, saying that's what he wanted to do. To give the fans the same type of thrills that the Superfly gave to him. And he's going to go out on a limb and say that he thinks he did that. When Foley stepped into the ring, he thought some of the fans would remember who he was and he kind of hoped that some of the fans might even chant his name. That's what he was hoping for but he wasn't prepared for how he felt when he opened up those doors and walked back into a WWE arena and he wants to tell us that this has been a thrill for him. He's had a wonderful couple weeks and he has loved performing for everyone over the course of his 15 years. He has loved being back home in the WWE and now he knows how Dorothy from Kansas felt when she said "There's no place like home." Hell, with a couple of huge exceptions, he's even loved working for Vince and he'd like to think that when his time comes again, when a phone call comes his way that he'll be welcome back inside a WWE ring. Just one final thought and that's like Stone Cold said, he has a book coming out and he's proud of it. He thought it would be a appropriate as he left to go on the book tour if he tried to quote some famous author, so he came up with Frosty the Snowman who said "I'll say goodbye but don't you cry, I'll be back again someday." With that, Mick Foley shook the hands of those in the ring and posed for the fans for the last time for a while.

-Shawn Michaels and Kevin Nash vs. Randy Orton and Ric Flair
Shawn Michaels made his way out to the ring and this next contest is a tag team match with Michaels and Kevin Nash against Randy Orton and Ric Flair.

Shawn Michaels started the match off in the ring against Ric Flair and Michaels knocked Flair down and then he went off the ropes and Flair ducked under but Shawn stopped short and nailed Flair in the back of the head with a right hand.

Nash signaled for the jackknife on Orton and he went for it but Flair gave Nash a low blow that went undetected by the referee to knock Nash down.

Shawn geared up for the super kick on Flair but Flair caught his foot and spun him around. Orton charged at Michaels but Michaels dumped him over the top rope.

Michaels gave Ric Flair an elbow drop from the top rope and then he nailed him with the super kick and a pin for the three count to get the win!

Kane was shown in the backstage area warming up for his World Title match against Triple H.

Foley and McMahon were shown and Mick was signing a book for Vince and he signed it, wishing Vince good luck. Flair and Orton showed up and Mick made a comment to Flair, telling him that he had a nice match. Flair was insulted and he and Foley got in a brawl in the backstage area until Foley put Flair in Socko. Randy Orton attacked Foley from behind with the Hardcore Title and then he whipped him into a steel fence and Foley attempted to fight back but Orton dominated Foley, kicking him in the head and knocking him down a flight of stairs. Vince went over and called for some help. He needs a janitor out here to clean up the mess!

-Rodney Mack vs. Goldberg
Rodney Mack and Theodore Long came out to the ring and Theodore said that as he can see tonight, the man thought he was going to ruin Rodney's night but when they leave tonight, they're going to have a smile on their faces because it's time for the five minute white boy challenge. So if there's any white boy that can stand up to the thugging and bugging, come out here! Goldberg's music hit in the arena and while Rodney Mack was ready for Goldberg, Theodore seemed scared.

Rodney Mack got out of the ring and went after Goldberg at the top of the ramp but Goldberg speared Rodney Mack down on the spear and Rodney rolled right down the ramp.

Goldberg brought Rodney into the ring and gave him some knees to the mid section and then he gave him the jackhammer and a pin for the three count to get the win.

Kane was shown backstage and someone knocked on the door and it was Rob Van Dam. Rob told Kane to kick some ass. He feels really good about this. That title is Kane's! Rob gave Kane a pat on the shoulder and then Kane took one last look at himself in the mirror and then destroyed the mirror by driving his elbow through it before leaving.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship
-Triple H (c) vs. Kane
Triple H's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring as the World Heavyweight Champion along with Ric Flair and this match is for the Heavyweight Championship with Triple H defending the title against the Big Red Machine, Kane!

Kane got right in the ring and gave Triple H a number of right hands and then he whipped the Game off the ropes and launched him into the air with a back body drop.

Triple H used a steel chair on Kane while the referee was distracted by Ric Flair and the camera seemed to get knocked out and as they switched to a different camera, we saw Earl Hebner shoving Ric Flair down in the ring.

Triple H gave Kane a DDT and Kane sat right up and the Game responded with a number of right hands and Kane called for more but they did little to nothing to the Big Red Machine. Kane fired back on Triple H with a number of right hands of his own and then a whip into the corner followed by a hard clothesline.

Kane came off the top rope with a jumping clothesline on Triple H and the referee got bumped a bit and then Kane went for a big boot on Triple H but Triple H ducked it and Kane nailed the referee to knock him down and out. Flair came into the ring with the World Title and went to use it on Kane but Kane disposed of Flair and grabbed the Championship belt. Kane nailed Triple H in the head with the Championship belt and then he pinned Triple H but the referee was down. Referee Chad Patton stormed to the ring and made the count but Triple H kicked out at the count of two.

An angered Kane grabbed the referee by the throat and tossed him over the top rope and then he did his best to wake up Earl Hebner. Triple H gave Kane a low blow and then he planted him with the Pedigree and then pinned him for a slow two count made by Earl Hebner.

Triple H went for another Pedigree but Kane countered it with a back body drop. Flair got in the ring and Kane gave him a choke slam and then Triple H went for another Pedigree but Kane pulled Triple H down to the mat by the legs and then he gave Triple H a slingshot into Ric Flair, sending both men down to the mat. Kane then charged up for the choke slam on Triple H but Randy Orton got in the ring and gave him a low blow, followed by the diamond cutter.

Orton then shoved the referee to the middle of the ring and then Triple H planted Kane with the Pedigree, followed by the pin for the three count to retain the title!

Eric Bischoff's music hit and he came out and told Kane that he knows the stipulation, now take the mask off. Kane started to remove his mask but Triple H hit Kane in the head with the Championship belt from behind and then Flair and Orton double teamed Kane. Rob Van Dam stormed to the ring and he and Kane cleared the ring of Evolution. Kane gave Orton a choke slam and Van Dam came off the top rope with the five star frog splash. Kane then got ready to set off his pyro, but he stopped. Kane then got ready to take off his mask but stopped. Kane paused and displayed anger but he eventually took off his mask, revealing the ugliest face in the history of wrestling. (His hair came off with the mask and he's half bald and mangled looking.)
