Guerrero's all fired up isolating his opponent in the corner. Nice dropkick by Guerrero, Hardy's up, both men exchange blows, Guerrero hits a side suplex both men land high and tight. Eddie's in control, goes on the outside, but the interference of Shannon Moore allows Hardy to target Eddie w/ a suplex into the ring. Quick cover, 2 count.
Eddie is whipped hard into the corner, cover... 1-2, very close. Beautiful powerbomb by the challenger, jolting his ribcage, almost gets a three count. Bow and arrow submission applied by Hardy, Guerrero struggles but reverses the hold into a swinging neck breaker, moment of desperation. Both men lay motionless on the floor.
Matt is back in control, quick covers but no win. Hardy misses w/ a flying elbow, Guerrero takes adantage w/ countless suplexes. Guerrero goes for the frog splash, but Hardy meets him half way, he executes a suplex off the top rope, but both men feel the effects. Hardy's first to his feet, goes for a leg drop off the top, Guerrero meets him w/ a leg scissors off the top.
A lot of back and fourth action. Eddie Guerrero drop kicks the US title into Shannon Moores face, he then tosses the belt to Matt Hardy and pretends to be the victim, very funny. The ref snatches the belt from Hardy, which allows Chavo to nail Hardy w/ the tag belt. Eddie then hits the frog splash to retain his title.
John Cena speaks backstage about how he's tired of being in Kurt Angles shadow, and how tonight he'll make quite the impact to prove himself to be the dominant one.
Eddie Guerrero (along w/ Chavo Guerrero) confronts The Big Show backstage, he asks him if his action last week (tossing him into the guard rail was personal?) Big Show makes it very clear that he doesn't like Guerrero, but more importantly tells him that he doesn't like 'his kind.' But he emphasizes on how much he like Tacos and burritos, but he doesn't like Eddie. He then shoves Eddie to the ground w/ one fierse shot and walks off.
Back from commerical, Chavo asks Eddie why he's allowing The Show to humiliate him. Eddie pushes Chavo up against a garage door, and says he'll take care of his advesary Guerrero style.
APA Vs. The Basham Brothers
Farooq gets started on Danny Basham, into the rope hard elbow. Both men make respected tags to their partners, but the tide still hasn't changed, Bradshaw in control w/ Doug, w/ a raw power offence. It takes Shaniqua, a 200 pound woman to make the difference, she causes a distraction allowing the Bashams to double team Bradshaw cutting him down to size.
Bradshaw isolated in the corner, Doug Basham is then in control w/ a rear chin lock. Bradshaw wont stay down, hits a back suplex breaking the hold. Both men take their partners, Farooq hits a spinebuster on Danny. The ref inadvanertantly gets knocked down, Bradshaw to the outside, Shaniqua hits Bradshaw w/ a big boot knocking his socks off. Double team effort by The Bashams allows them to gain a victory pinning Farooq.
After the match Bradshaw hits Shaniqua w/ a clothesline from hell. Commentator Tazz emphasizes that if she doesn't believe in God she better start.
Chris Benoit Vs. Charlie Haas
A-Train joins the commentary tream to get a closer look at the action...
Haas is in complete control throughout most of the match, but Benoit slowly builds a lot of momentum in this match, proving to be one of the best technical wrestlers in the business today. Midway into the match, a sharpshooter is applied, but Haas makes it to the ropes. Awesome belly to belly suplex by Haas, but before you know it, Benoit has the match won w/ the crippler cross face, or so i thought. A-train comes in earning Benoit a disqualification victory. But A-Train refuses to let it end there, he applies his own version of the crippler crossface.
Vince McMahon makes his way to the ring w/ the lovely Sable on his arm.
Vince McMahon says that there's still time for his daughter to resign, and if she does he'll call off the "I Quit Match" at the next ppv. Stephanie comes down the aisle, he says she appreciates the time to make decision, but she will not quit, not now, not ever! Vince says that she will, if not tonight she'll quit at the ppv, both the match and her job. Vince says she doesn't realize the ramifications of her decision, he says she's making her father do this to her. Steph says he doesn't have to do this, but Vince refuses to have his own daughter defy him.
He then goes on to talk about when she was growing up, and how he held her tenderly as a child, her first bicycle ride, but now she wants him to take daddy's litte girl and crush her down to the mat, leaving her in a bloody pulp. Vince questions why she would do this to him, very emotionally repeating these words. He ends w/, "At No Mercy, he'll strike down the face of defiance."
Sable then grabs the mic, she tells Vince not to think her Steph as her daughter, but just a disrespectful little bitch.
Steph tells sable to but out, and do what she does best, go to the mens locker room and lay flat on her back. Sable slaps Steph, but Steph then takes Sable down to mat. Vince then grabs his daughter by the hair and body slams her in the middle of the ring. Afterwards he asks her why, as if it's her fault. He then goes to strike her again, but The Undertaker comes down to make the save. He punches out Vince, but before he can do more damage, Lesnar comes to the rescue. But only to be turned inside out by a big boot by The Taker.
A Mexican delivery man is backstage looking for Eddie Guerrero, but The Big Show stops him in his tracks, confiscates the food, eats it, and splits in one of the burritos and tells the delivery man to send it Guerrero's way.
(Cruiserweight Championship Match)
Tajiri Vs. Billy Kidman
Right off the bat, Kidman uses high flying action to attack his opponent, tosses him to the outside and hits him w/ a flying body press. Back in the ring, Tajiri goes to work on the left arm of Kidman, submission style. Back to their feet, The Champ hits his opponent w/ rapid kicks to the chest. Quick count, almost three.
Back to the submission, Tajiri has Kidman on the mat w/ an arm bar. He breaks the hold, whips Kidman into the ropes, a misscalculation allows Kidman to persevere w/ a kick to the head, quick count but no duke. As the mstch winds down, Tajiri misses his finisher kick, Kidman retaliates w/ a nice drop kick. Low blow, followed by a kick to the head gains Tajiri the win.
The Big Show Vs. Orlando Jordan
The Big Show is obviously showing signs of stomach sickness, as Orlando Jordan takes atvantage. Orlando Jordan gives Big Show one swift kick to the mid-section, and The Show takes off heading for the backstage area, obviously in need to use the bathroom. Orlando Jordan wins via countout.
We are now joined by Zack Gowen, via satalite at his home. He says's he's obviously feeling better than The Big Show, but he's tired of getting sympathy from peole. The constant questions if he's ready for wrestling. But Zack says he's gonna prove everyone wrong, by returning to action next week!
Eddie Guerrero confronts Big Show in the bathroom, Show is obviously having trouble on the toilet. To make a long story short, Guerrero takes his toilet paper, and admits to being responsible for his upset stomach. He then kicks in the door in the bathroom stall, as Big Show suffers.
The Undertaker And Kurt Angle Vs. Brock Lesnar And John Cena
Angle is in control, fierse action. Clotheslne, fast two count. Taker tagged in, he ultilizes hard body shots, Cena dropped to the mat below. Taker works on Cena's arm, tags in Angle. Kurt Angle attacks Cena like there's no tomorrow, he swings into the ropes, Lesnar pulls the ropes down, Angle falls to the outside, creating an opening for his team.
Back from Commercial break: Lesnar is in control, drops an elbow on the fallen Angle. Goes for a cover, almost three. Cena tagged in, Kurt Angle gets his second wind, but not for long as Lesnar is tagged back in, great offence on his behalf, picking his spots tagging in and out of the ring. Angle makes it to his respected corner, but the ref doesn't see it. Cena hits Angle w/ a back suplex.
Angle dragged into the corner, isolating his opponent, once again Lesnar is tagged in. Angle battles back, but is quickly taken down w/ a hard slam by the champion. The Undertaker provides enough distraction, this allows Angle to hit his pattened slam out of nowhere. Cena tagged in, Taker tagged. Taker goes to work on both men, snake eyes to Lesnar in the corner.
Lesnar knocked to the outside w/ a big boot. Taker hits a choke slam on Cena, but Lesnar breaks up the count. Taker goes to work on lesnar w/ hard right hands, but Lesnar hits a nice spine buster to change the tide. Angle is tagged in, he goes nuts, Belly to belly suplexes, german suplexes to Cena. Ankle lock submission, but Lesnar nearly takes his head off w/ a clothesline. While the ref is distracted, Cena hits Angle w/ a steel chain to the head and gain a pinfall.
After the match, Lesnar takes it to the Undertaker, tossing him into the steel steps. He goes for an F5 on the announce table, but the Taker reverses it into a deadly Chokeslam, Lesnar falls and breaks the table.
Good show tonight, although I could have done w/out the scenes w/ Big Show in the bathroom, heck I was eating a late dinner watching tonights show. Click
