Ring of Honor returned to the Boston area at a sweltering Lexington National Guard Armory, before a crowd estimated at 500 people.
Match results:
In match one of the Round Robin Challenge, The Prophecy of Dan Maff and BJ Whitmer defeated The Second City Saints of Colt Cabana and CM Punk, when Whitmer pinned Cabana following an Exploder Suplex.
Post- match Ricky Steamboat was attacked, as Cabana attacked Steamboat in the ring after the match. Punk and Cabana plowed Steamboat twice into a table; then through a second table which partially collapsed as Punk went for a top rope legdrop, still putting Steamboat through the portion of the table that was standing
By the stipulations of the Round Robin Challenge (Tag Team Titles on the line in each match) The Prophecy are the NEW ROH Tag Team Champions. The Round Robin Challenge score is: Maff/Whitmer: 1-0, Punk/Cabana: 0-1, Briscoes: 0-0
Alex Shelley defeated Matt Stryker in the first match of the Best Of 3 Series in a pure wrestling clinic rating *** 1/2.
The Carnage Crew of Loc and Devito and The Ring Crew Express, Dunn and Marcos defeated the Embassy of Prince Nana, Josh Daniels and The Outkast Killahs, Diablo Santiago and Oman Tortuga
Ricky Reyes was revealed as "the mystery man turned off the lights in Minnesota", and the Havana Pitbulls are now the newest "Rottweilers" with Homicide and Julius Smokes.
Samoa Joe defeated Ricky Reyes with the Island Driver in what is reported to be an excellent match, stiff as hell, on the level of the Low Ki-Samoa Joe from the Glory By Honor show.
In match two of the Round Robin Challenge, The Briscoe Brothers defeated the Prophecy of Dan Maff and BJ Whitmer in the second match of the Round Robin Challenge III when Mark Briscoe pinned Dan Maff with a cradle. The Briscoe Brothers are the NEW ROH Tag Team Champions, making The Round Robin Challenge score: Maff/Whitmer: 1-1, Punk/Cabana: 0-1, Briscoes: 1-0
Post-intermission, Josh Daniels defeated Dixie with a Fisherman's Buster
John Walters won the Six Man Mayhem Match defeating Trent Acid, Roderick Strong, Masada, Izzy and Hydro by pinning Izzy following a Top Rope Hurricane DDT in what was reported as the best Six Man Mayhem to date.
Homicide defeated Spanky via a Lariat in what was reported as an excellent match. At one point, Spanky hit Sliced Bread #2 on the floor, but couldn't get the pin as the referee was pulled out of the ring. Following the match, Samoa Joe came out and Homicide destroyed him with a couple of piledrivers and several boots, to further set up his Ring of Honor Title match this Saturday in Philadelphia.
The Second City Saints of CM Punk and Colt Cabana defeated Jay and Mark Briscoe when Cabana pinned Mark Briscoe after a Frog Splash *** 1/2. The Second City Saints are the NEW ROH Tag Team Champions. The final score in the Round Robin Challenge saw all three teams tied 1-1.
After the match Ricky Steamboat returned and attacked CM Punk, exchanging chops, ending with Steamboat hitting his old finisher, the flying bodypress. This seems to be setting up what a lot of fans are hoping to be an eventual match between the two.
Ring of Honor returns to Philadelphia at the National Guard Armory next Saturday, with ROH champion Samoa Joe vs. Homicide and ROH Tag Team champions CM Punk/Colt Cabana vs. Dan Maff/BJ Whitmer with Ricky Steamboat as the special referee John Walters vs. Jimmy Rave, and the "Generation Next" series of matches featuring Austin Aries, Jack Evans, Hydro, Alex Shelley, Roderick Strong, Jimmy Jacobs, Izzy, and Nigel McGuiness.
